Why do I look like this?

I was made from pieces of a broken ostrich egg shell. The pieces were chipped with teeth or rock or even modern nail clippers until shaped more or less like a disc. Then a hole was drilled in the center. The hole was drilled by twirling something hard and pointy against each disc. A hunting arrow or piece of rock chipped to a point could be used as the drill. After all of the discs were made, they were strung on sinew and push tightly again each other. The string of disc was rubbed against a stone until round smooth. |
